About WikiHomeLED
WikiHomeLED is an independent research site for LED lighting in the home. We help US homeowners and renters compare outdoor lights, TV and desk setup lighting, grow lights, garage and shop lights, LED strips, lamps, ceiling fixtures, and LED bulbs before they buy.
What we publish
- Best of guides that compare several products against clearly stated criteria.
- Single product reviews that assess one product from its listed specifications and buyer feedback.
- Buying guides that explain lumens, color temperature, color rendering, dimmer compatibility, weather ratings, and power options in plain language.
How we work
We research products using manufacturer specifications, product listings, ENERGY STAR and other public program data where it exists, and buyer feedback. We do not claim to have installed, run, or measured the products we write about. Our process is described on the How We Review page and our standards are set out in the Editorial Policy.
Who writes WikiHomeLED
WikiHomeLED is written by the WikiHomeLED Editorial Team. We use AI tools to help draft articles from manufacturer specifications, product listings, and buyer feedback. A person reviews and edits each article before it is published and is accountable for what appears on the site. The Editorial Team byline describes this process. It does not stand for an individual lighting designer or electrician, and we do not use invented author profiles.
How the site is funded
WikiHomeLED earns commissions when you buy through links to Amazon. This does not change what we recommend or how we rank products. Read the full Affiliate Disclosure.
Safety first
Lighting runs on household current, and outdoor fixtures face rain and snow. We repeat manufacturer instructions on wiring, wet location ratings, and load limits plainly, and we point out when a job, such as replacing a hardwired fixture or adding a circuit, calls for a licensed electrician.
